Really Good Timing

The orange Butterfly is a "Julia" and the Black & Green is a "Malachite".
Yesterday we took the M&M's (Mary and MaryAnn((Bob's mom and her friend)) ) to the Desert Botanical Garden. Our timing could not have been better. We arrived at the Butterfly exhibit just in time to help release new Butterflies. They are shipped from Florida in these envelopes which look like wax paper. They are kept at 50 degrees since Butterflies do not fly below 60 degrees. These little envelopes were stacked side by side in a box. I would have thought they would be squished but they were not. We were each given an envelope with instructions as how to open them. When the Butterflies warm up, they fly away. We do not remember the name of this one but were told that it is rare.

The Buckeye Butterfly

This is two Butterflies next to each other with their wings closed. They are the same type as in the first picture.
My thought is that they were seperated during shipping and are happy to have found each other again.
